Research Scientist
About The Position
As a deep learning research scientist, you will participate in and lead research projects to advance the scientific front of AI. Your work will be done both solo and in collaboration with other research scientists and engineers. You will conduct research of the highest quality, using and developing state-of-the-art techniques and algorithms. We are looking for someone who is versatile, displays leadership qualities, and is passionate about taking on new challenges.
Requirements
- Ph.D. degree in computer science or similar technical field
- Comprehensive knowledge of machine learning and deep learning
- In-depth knowledge of at least one of the major frameworks (TensorFlow/PyTorch)
- 3+ years of deep learning research experience
- Several publications in top-tier peer-reviewed venues
- Excellent team player with strong communication skills in verbal and written English
- Proficiency in Python programming
Preferred qualifications
- Strong mathematical skills
- Proficiency in PyTorch programming
- Publications in top-tier machine or deep learning peer-reviewed venues (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR)
- Experience leading research projects
- Experience designing neural architecture search (NAS) algorithms and AutoML related algorithms
Responsibilities
- Lead and carry out effective scientific research by formulating meaningful research questions, conducting experiments, organizing results, concluding and communicating results in presentations, scientific reports, and blog posts
- Contribute to Deci’s research efforts, leading to components that will be integrated and deployed in Deci products
- Mentor, teach, and collaborate with deep learning researchers and engineers
- Develop IP and publish research papers in top-tier machine and deep learning venues
