As an NLP research engineer, you will conduct research projects to advance the scientific front of AI. You will contribute to empirical research of the highest quality, using and developing state-of-the-art architectures, techniques, and algorithms.
Requirements
Comprehensive knowledge of deep learning applied to NLP
MSc degree in computer science or a similar technical field
In-depth knowledge of at least one of the major frameworks (TensorFlow/PyTorch)
Extensive experience applying and training state-of-the-art NLP models (e.g., BERT, transformers)
3+ years NLP deep learning research/development experience in industrial settings
Publication in top-tier peer-reviewed (NLP) venues such as ACL, NAACL, NeurIPS, ICLR
Excellent team player with strong communication skills in verbal and written English
Extensive knowledge of OOP, design patterns, and solid software development principles in Python
Preferred qualifications
PhD in computer science or a similar technical field
Publication in top-tier machine or deep learning peer-reviewed venues
Experience in the original design of deep neural models for complex NLP problems
Proven track record in delivering deep learning NLP models for industrial production
Leadership potential, and preferably experience in managing a technical team of (DL) engineers
Responsibilities
Lead and carry out effective scientific research by formulating meaningful research questions, conducting experiments, organizing results, concluding and communicating results in presentations, blog posts, and scientific papers
Contribute to Deci’s research efforts, leading to components that will be integrated and deployed in the Deci product
Manage individual customer projects. Handle priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, and conduct frequent interactions with our customers’ highly-skilled deep learning engineers and scientists
Mentor and collaborate with deep learning engineers
Publish research papers in top-tier machine and deep learning venues
